Science Support Spring 2026 Tutoring Schedule
Limited tutoring services will be available during the first week of classes (January 20 – 23). The full tutoring schedule will begin on Monday, January 26. Tutoring will be limited during spring break (March 14 – 22) and on Tuesday, April 7, for staff professional development. Student Expectations for Science Tutoring
- Bring any resources that will help your tutor know what content you are working on (like class notes or assignment instructions).
- Bring a list of specific questions to ask (problems you need help with). Make sure to try each problem / assignment on your own first and bring your work so you and the tutor have a good starting point. Then the tutor can help you where you are getting stuck or help you fix your errors.
- A positive attitude and an open mind that views mistakes as an opportunity for growth and understanding.
- A willingness to try new things and be an active participant in the learning process.
Our ACC tutors are the best resource for help since they are familiar with course content, faculty, and specific knowledge about our campus.
In addition to the support offered by ACC tutors, NetTutor allows currently registered ACC students to meet with a qualified tutor outside of regular tutoring hours. You can find the NetTutor link in your class when you log into D2L, under the Resources tab of any course. Students are limited to 5 hours of NetTutor services per week.
