Colorado Gallery of the Arts
The Colorado Gallery of the Arts, located on the first floor of the ACC Annex building on the Littleton Campus, holds 8 to 10 juried exhibitions each year. We showcase work by students in our Art program and local artists.

Campus Mini Galleries
ACC's art gallery, the Colorado Gallery of the Arts is branching out. We now have display spaces on the Littleton Campus in the Library (M2500), Advising and Transfer Services (M2010), Career Services (M2450), Dean of Students Office (M2720), Workforce & Community Programs (M2405), and Admissions (M2480). Stop in and be inspired by art created by our talented art students from the Art & Design Programs.

Sturm Collaboration Campus Gallery
The Sturm Gallery is located at the Castle Rock Sturm Collaborative Campus. We feature community and ACC student work on a rotating basis. The Gallery is located on the second floor.

Community Exhibitions
Exciting exhibitions of ACC student art are featured at the Parker and Littleton Adventist Hospitals, thanks to a collaboration of the ACC Art Department and the Healing Arts program at the hospitals. The program provides patients and their families, as well as staff members and the community, with a calm environment featuring local artists and musicians. Extended exhibitions of student art are also held at the Denver Community Credit Union’s Mineral Branch, 101 W. Mineral Avenue, Littleton.
Milestone Project
The Diversity & Inclusive Milestones Project was founded by the late Dr. Richard Steckel and his wife Michele. Inspired by tragic news stories in 1998, the Colorado couple started traveling the globe to photograph children as they recognized various milestones, from losing a tooth to taking a first step. The photographs were meant to help people around the world focus on what unites us rather than divides us. In 2017, the couple donated the Milestones Project to the ACC Foundation. The exhibit travels worldwide to increase awareness of diversity and inclusivity, thanks to the sponsorship and support of Denver Digital Imaging Center and GlobalMindED.

Public Art Collection
ACC's Public Art is part of the Art in Public Places state's collection. Art in Public Places commissions artwork for people to enjoy in publicly accessible areas inside and outside of state buildings. Colorado law requires 1% of the State’s capital construction funds for new or renovated state buildings to pay for works of art. These art acquisitions form the state art collection. Art in Public Places works show diversity in style, imagery, materials, and techniques. Art in Public Places’ goal is to merge the art experience into public spaces.
We support public art because it:
- provides access to art for all people
- activates public and underused spaces in interesting ways through creative placemaking
- grows civic pride and connection to the community
- supports artists, including local artists
- adds human-scale to larger spaces
- invites experiences and interactivity for people walking
- illustrates or reflects a story or history of the space
- improves wayfinding

Lynn Tillery began working with sculpture, at the age of 50, while attending art classes at ACC. She is nationally recognized with pieces in 31 states, Puerto Rico, and England including the Museum of Outdoor Arts in Greenwood Village, and Denver’s Kirkland Museum

George Peters
George Peters has a thirty year history of working with aerial forms from gallery works to installation sculpture, kites, mobiles and banner works. During that time he has worked primarily as a studio artist and in the public art realm. His artistic experience includes film animation, graphic arts, theater set and costume design, photography, architectural modeling, painting and sculpture. He has completed over eighty large scale national and international commissioned works for private, corporate and public institutions.
Melanie Walker
Melanie Walker is an internationally recognized artist with experience in installation sculpture, photography and new forms. She combines photography with sculpture, electronics, puppetry, costumes and sound to create participatory environments that break down the traditional proscenium for viewers. She is a tenured professor of Art and photography at the University of Colorado at Boulder and has received numerous awards including a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 1996.
