Career Assessments are tools that can help you know more about yourself. The assessments listed below are available for a nominal fee and can help you discover your work-related personal characteristics. After taking the assessment, you will view your results with a career counselor. Contact Career and Transfer Services for details.
Focus 2
FOCUS 2 is a free online, self-guided career and educational planning system designed to help you make decisions about your future career and education. Your self-assessment results are matched to career options and majors offered at ACC. Access FOCUS 2 through myACC, under the "Training & Technology" tab. FOCUS 2 is found in the lower left corner in the “Career and Transfer Center” section. Use the access code "Move Mountains" to create an account.
YouScience
YouScience is a proven scientifically developed aptitude assessment that utilizes a holistic approach that measures natural abilities (what you do naturally well), specific interests (what you enjoy doing) and career opportunities (what the job market needs). YouScience uses proven science and algorithms, combining your aptitudes and interests, to support self-discovery and an increased confidence in your career path.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is the most trusted and widely used assessment for understanding personality and uncovering new ways to work and interact with others. This assessment is helpful if you want to learn about your personality and how it relates to different career opportunities.
Strong Interest Inventory (SII)
Strong Interest Inventory (SII) helps to measure your level of interest among a broad range of occupations, work and leisure activities, and connects your interest to academic majors.

CliftonStrengths reveals your top five talents, or unique ways of feeling, thinking, and behaving, that, when combined with skill and knowledge, can be developed into strengths. Using your strengths in school, your career, and life will help you experience exponential levels of success and well-being! Limited number of codes available free of charge”
My Colorado Journey
My Colorado Journey is a statewide platform designed to personalize your career pathway and connect you to work, education and support services. Additional free assessments are available online in addition to information on current occupations, videos of careers, pay ranges, employers who hire in the occupations and scholarship information.
Paying for Career Assessments online:
- Log on to myACC
- Select the Student Finance Tab
- Under “Payment Options and Refunds” click on “Pay with Credit card – Optional Purchases”
- Click on Shopping cart (located at the top of the Student Account Online Page)
- Click on continue shopping
- Locate Career Assessments and click on “View Details”
- Find the appropriate amount and add to shopping cart
- Click on checkout when you are finished shopping
- Follow instructions to enter credit card payment and complete transaction
