GED Testing
General Equivalency Development (GED) tests are designed to certify that you have high school equivalent knowledge, even if you never received your diploma.
Take the GED Test
You can go to the GED Testing Services website for scheduling, payment, and registration of your GED test. If you are under the age of 17, you will need to get an age waiver application from the State Department of Education.
Prepare for the GED Test
There are free pre-GED tests available online through Steck-Vaughn or Test Prep Review. Your scores will indicate whether you are ready to take the official test or if you should take a preparation class.
If you are not yet ready to take the official GED test, enroll in our GED Preparation course. An individualized program of study will help you gain the skills you need to take the official test as soon as possible.
After the GED Test
Once you complete and pass your GED test, you can get started on the next stage of your education. ACC offers a number of degrees and certificates that can help you prepare for the professional future you have always wanted.
