2021 Campus and Course Information
Fall 2021 Campus Plan
For the Fall 2021 semester at ACC, our primary goals are to provide you with the best education possible while keeping our ACC community safe.
Fall Classes begin August 23.
Student Services are available in person, remotely and by appointment. Please call to make an appointment and to check availability.

Please remember that the circumstances regarding COVID-19 are ever-changing so, plans may continue to change.
ACC is offering in-person courses, remote, virtual and online courses. All of these options are explained in detail below and how you can identify the type of course in the course schedule. Instructors will provide information for specific classes in D2L (Desire2Learn) prior to the start of class. You should register for the class being taught the way that works best for you.
Where do I start?
- Fall registration is open. Make an appointment with your advisor to discuss the courses you should take in your degree / certificate plan.
- Log in to Navigate and start mapping out your schedule. Confirm that the way your courses will be delivered will work for your needs. Check out this Navigate step-by-step instruction video. If you find that a class will not work for you after you register, you can switch to a different section. Do this as soon as possible to guarantee your spot in your preferred course option.
- Make a plan to pay your tuition.
- Enroll in a payment plan.
- Submit a 2021-2022 FAFSA. Check myACC for any needed documentation and to confirm you have been awarded. If you have not yet done your FAFSA – do it TODAY. The FAFSA priority deadline was March 1, 2021. You should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. It is recommended to start a payment plan. When and if your aid is awarded, it will be refunded to you. See Financial Aid for assistance and details.
- Established a third-party who will be paying your tuition.
You can see your bill in myACC after you are registered for courses.

Hyflex with Lab

|Online Courses||Online courses provide a way to attend class at your convenience, rather than coming to campus at an assigned time. Courses require participation in online discussions, assignments, and online tests. The instructor sets the pace of the course via deadlines. Traditional delivery of fully online courses with no requirement to meet in person.||

As further health and safety guidelines are announced, ACC will offer courses to reflect the most current guidance to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
Safety and COVID-19 Response
When you to arrive on campus, you will notice many changes have taken place in order to ensure the safety, health and well-being guidelines recommended by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, the Center for Disease Control, Tri-County Health Department, the Governor’s Office, and other state and local experts.

Wearing a Mask / Facial Covering
Facial coverings are not required for those who are fully vaccinated.
A facial covering is recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated.
Some areas of the college may require you to wear a mask. There will be signage posted in those areas and masks will be provided.
We are a mask friendly campus and you may be asked to wear a mask:
- To protect our staff, students and their family who may not be able to be vaccinated
- As required for our Youth College and Childcare Facilities for children under 12 years of age
- To keep an in person class going without interruption
Contact our Dean of Students Office (askhr [at] arapahoe [dot] edu (HR) for employees) to request an exemption based due to disability or health issue.
Vaccinations are strongly encouraged but not required.
There are free vaccination clinics available on the ACC Littleton Campus.

COVID-19 Vaccinations are being administered by Jogan Health Solutions and are available by walk-up no appointment is needed.
When you arrive, please stay in your car and wear a mask.

Health and Reporting
Report any change in your health to your faculty member and then return home and contact your physician.
Reporting a Positive Test for COVID-19 is required. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive, please report your status using the online form below. You can also use this form to report that you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 but have not been tested.
If you have had a change in your health, free COVID-19 Testing is available on the ACC Littleton Campus.

COVID-19 testing is being conducted by STRIDE Community Health Center and is available by walk-up or appointment. Preregistration is not required but will expedite your visit on the day of testing. Text COVID to 720.902.6398 or register for a test online.
Please bring your photo ID, insurance card and confirmation number, if applicable. When you arrive, please stay in your car and wear a mask.

Cleaning & Sanitizing
We have cleaning supplies, such as disinfecting spray and paper towels, available for students and staff to sanitize any area they use. Wash your hands regularly and/or utilize the hand sanitizer stations available on each campus.
ACC has installed plexiglass barriers in areas where students and staff frequently interact.
Ongoing Monitoring of Guidance from Health Organizations
As we continue to navigate COVID-19, CCCS presidents and executive staff, and ACC key personnel talk daily to review current status and discuss plans for moving forward in light of new information and/or directives from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, the Center for Disease Control, Tri-County Health Department, the Governor’s Office, and other state and local experts.
Your safety is our priority. If we determine it is no longer in the best interest for the safety of the ACC community to keep our campuses open, we will implement plans to finish the semester remotely.
In the case of weather delays or closures for in-person classes, students will be notified by text, email and through the ACC Alert app.

What is ACC Doing for Safety and Well-being?
We are continuously monitoring and discussing the best possible options to keep our community safe, while ensuring quality education for our students. We installed plexiglass partitions around campus, provide sanitizing and cleaning products, increased our cleaning protocols, strongly recommend vaccination, and continue to update our procedures based on the latest recommendations.
I Don't Want to Wear A Mask. What are my Options?
A mask may be required in some areas of campus.
Any student wishing to request a disability-related accommodation in connection with the ACC Mask Policy should contact Brian Grewe in Disability Access Services by phone at 303.797.5610 or by email brian [dot] grewe [at] arapahoe [dot] edu.
If a student has a personal health condition that prevents them from wearing a mask/facial covering in alignment with public health orders and no other form of personal protective covering or equipment is suitable based on their disability or health condition, the student will need to contact Disability Access Services (DAS) to discuss the process of providing medical documentation or discussing the inability to wear a mask.
The student will be asked to provide DAS with documentation written by a licensed professional about their disability that:
- Verifies that the individual meets the ADA definition of disability (i.e., has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities),
- Explains the reasons why a mask exemption is needed,
- Shows the relationship between the individual's disability and the need for the requested mask accommodation.
The documentation will be reviewed by the DAS Director and the Dean of Students. If this accommodation is granted, then DAS will then provide the student with a full-face shield that must be work while on any of the ACC Campuses. Wearing the face shield is not optional. The student will also receive a mask exemption card on a yellow lanyard card. Students can wear the lanyard card while on campus. Wearing yellow lanyard is optional as we will not require students to disclose their disability status. If students are not wearing the lanyard, they may be asked if they have received permission to not wear a mask before entering a college facility.
Mask-related accommodations available to students taking ACC Concurrent Enrollment classes on a high school campus may be subject to different guidelines as a result of differences in health, safety, and education requirements for high schools.
Other Examples of reasonable accommodations for students with a mask accommodation
Remote / Virtual Options
- Allow the student to take courses that are offered online.
- Offer Student Services appointments by telephone or video call for a student. This includes Advising, DAS, Financial Aid, ACC tutoring, and a number of other services and supports.
- Inform the student of online tutoring such as TutorMe.
Is there Academic Support and Tutoring?
Of course. Student success is our first priority. Check out the webpage for the service you need to schedule an appointment.
Why do online courses cost more?
When the Colorado Community College System originally developed online courses, the costs reflected the online technology to teach effectively online and the learning management system. This resulted in tuition per credit costs that were (and continue to be) higher than in person course tuition. The higher tuition supports the technology infrastructure needed to offer quality online education.
Why Can't I See my Classes in D2L?
D2L courses become fully available the first day of class. You will be able to view class information in D2L a week prior to the start of your class. Please use Detailed Schedule under the Registration Tools in myACC to confirm your schedule and plan to login to D2L on the start date for each of your classes.
How Can I Get My Textbook(s)?
You can order online anytime and have items delivered to your home or your campus for pick up.

Ways to Shop
- Ship it to you: Order on the arapahoeshop.com website.
- Ship it to your campus: Order on the arapahoeshop.com website and choose your campus location during checkout.
- After your order has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation with pick up instructions.
- In-Store Shopping: Bookstore services are available on the Littleton Campus at the hours listed above. The number of people permitted in the store will be limited to ensure proper social distancing. Ordering your textbooks and supplies online for home delivery or pick up should be your first choices.
Purchasing Books Using Financial Aid
Students who have been awarded financial aid for 21-22 will be able to order books and supplies August 2-11. You can check your financial aid balance in myACC or on the Bookstore website. Contact the Financial Aid office if you have questions.
Parker and Sturm Collaboration Campus Students
We encourage you to order at ArapahoeShop.com and choose Ship To you. You can also have items delivered to the campuses and you will be contacted with pick-up information.
Why do I have to pay the Health & Wellness Fee?
The Health and Wellness fee is a $9.85 per semester, student fee that supports the Fitness Center and mental health counseling available through ACC. This fee was a student led initiative in 2013 as the Fitness Center was previous only available for paying members, and ACC only had limited mental health counseling for students. Regardless of a student’s ability to access our campuses, these services are still available for all students. Students can make a confidential phone or virtual appointment with a licensed mental health therapist by calling the ACC Dean of Students Office at 303.797.5730 or email acc [dot] dos [at] arapahoe [dot] edu. The Fitness Center is open and they have created several online resources for students to access to support at-home wellness. If you have questions, contact the Fitness Center by calling 303.797.5850.
Why do I have to pay the student activity fee?
The Student Activity fee is $4.17 per credit hour, with a maximum fee of $50.04 (12 credits). This fee is used exclusively to fund student activities and events, student clubs and organizations, and other student-led initiatives at ACC. The Student Life Office will be providing a variety of activities over the course of the semester to keep you engaged and help you stay connected. Students will also have the ability to be part of students clubs and organizations even if they are unable to meet in-person. The weekly Monday Morning To Do email, sent to all students, will promote these opportunities. We also encourage you to check out the online calendar on ACC’s website, which is frequently updated. *During the academic year, some or all of the instructional formats may change due to an emergency situation affecting college operations, public safety, or public health, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Tuition and fees are charged at the beginning of the semester and will remain in place regardless of any changes in instructional format. Tuition and fees will not be refunded in the event the curriculum delivery format changes for any part of the academic year.
