CE College Select: On-Campus Concurrent Enrollment
Take classes on an ACC campus to earn college AND high school credit at the same time while gaining valuable experience on a college campus.
What Is CE College Select?
Concurrent Enrollment (CE) College Select, or CE@ACC, refers to taking a class on an ACC campus that counts for high school credit and college credit. As a CE College Select student, you will be able to take courses at any of our campuses: Littleton Campus, Sturm Collaboration Campus at Castle Rock, virtual / remote, or online. You’ll still be a high school student, but you’ll be taking college courses on a college campus, with other college students. Home school students are welcome to participate; contact acc [dot] collegeselect [at] arapahoe [dot] edu for more information.
The Benefits of CE College Select
Taking college-level courses on a college campus with other college students is a great way to prepare for college! Taking courses now can help you adjust to life as a college student wherever you go. As a CE College Select student, you’ll get access to all of our ACC academic and recreational resources.
Like CE courses at your high school, taking CE courses at an ACC campus can decrease the cost of your total college education and the time it takes to get a degree. Unlike CE courses at your high school, CE courses at ACC offer a large variety of courses that may or may not be available at your high school.
Check with your school counselor or school district to determine the best fit for you and what the district will and won’t financially cover.
How Do I Get Started?
You can become a CE College Select student in 8 easy steps.
- Talk with your high school counselor to learn more about your district’s requirements and policies. Then, work with your counselor to discuss what ACC courses would work best for you. Note: any eligibility requirements and restrictions for district approval are decided solely by the school district, not ACC.
- If you do not already have an active ACC account, complete the ACC application online.
- 3-5 business days after you complete your ACC application, you will receive your acceptance letter with your virtual Student ID card and ACC S#.
- Complete the required Online Student Orientation on your myACC portal (under the “Students” tab). It takes 40-60 minutes and provides important information for success.
- Send in your high school transcripts, SAT scores, or ACT scores to testingcenter [at] arapahoe [dot] edu to satisfy any prerequisites for courses you’d like to take. You can check the prerequisites for the course you’re interested in by searching in the Course Catalog.
- 2-3 business days after you complete the online orientation, you will receive an email inviting you to sign up for a required Advising and Registration Session.
- At your Advising and Registration Session, you’ll learn important information for succeeding at ACC. You’ll also register for classes.
- Use the resources you’ve learned about to Move Mountains and succeed in your classes!
