In response to the national and local unmet demand for Cybersecurity Specialists and the increasingly complex and challenging cyber-attacks facing our nation, this cybersecurity program will produce qualified professionals with expertise in information assurance, cybersecurity, and network forensics disciplines. Upon successful completion of the program and depending on organizational employability requirements, students from this program will be prepared for a number of jobs that require the following industry certifications: CompTia A+; Network+; Linux+; Security+, CYSA+, Server+; Cloud+.

Program Requirements
Any GT-CO1 and GT-CO2 OR any GT-CO2 and GT-CO3
MAT 1340 - College Algebra: GT-MA1 4 credits OR higher
Select one course from the following:
COM 1150 - Public Speaking OR COM 1250 - Interpersonal Communication:GT-SS3
AND
Select one course from any of the following Guaranteed Transfer (GT) categories:
Arts & Humanities: GT-AH1, GT-AH2, GT-AH3, GT-AH4
History: GT-HI1
Natural & Physical Sciences: GT-SC1, GT-SC2
Social & Behavioral Sciences: GT-SS1, GT-SS2, GT-SS3
Select one course from the following:
BUS 2017 - Business Communication and Report Writing OR BUS 2026 - Business Statistics
* Students intending to transfer to CSU-Pueblo should take CIS 315 at CSU-Pueblo and back transfer the course.
1. Students intending to transfer to CSU-Pueblo should take CIS 462, CIS 401, and CIS 461 at CSU-P and reverse transferring to earn the degree.
2. Students intending to transfer to CSU-Pueblo are strongly encouraged to take CSC-1060 at ACC.
- * These courses are required courses for students who intend to transfer to CSU to earn a baccalaureate degree in Computer Information Systems – Cybersecurity Concentration. For this option students need to meet with a Computer Network Technology Advisor to choose the correct sequence of classes. Please call 303.660.3166 for more information.
- ** CompTia Exam vouchers for Network+ and Security+ are included in the course fees and are expected to be taken when the course has completed.
Graduation Requirements
- Apply for graduation online at www.arapahoe.edu/graduation.
- As a graduate of a Career and Technical Education program you will be contacted by an ACC employee in approximately six months to verify your employment information. This information gathering is a federal requirement to ensure that ACC receives certain federal funding.
