Computer Aided Drafting

Learn the art of Computer Aided Drafting for architecture, engineering graphics technology, and interior design at Arapahoe Community College

Student using 3D Printer

Computers are increasingly becoming the de-facto tool in many career areas. If your area of interest uses computers for the purpose of designing architecture, engineering technologies, or interior designs, then you should consider one of our CAD-related certifications: Architecture, Engineer Graphics Technology, or Interior Design. These certificates can be earned along with your Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Studies, Engineering Graphics Technologies, and Interior Design, and will give your resume an extra boost when you enter the job market. Each certificate requires between 31-33 credit hours, and many of the requirements cross-over with courses needed for their AAS equivalents.

What You'll Learn

Along with coursework from your area of specialization, you’ll be trained in computer aided drafting for 2D, 3D, and customized applications, AutoLISP programming, and introductory PC applications.

We offer training using five types of drafting software -- AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, SketchUp Pro, and SOLIDWORKS -- from basic skills to advanced levels, and our Computer Aided Drafting certifications specialize in Architecture, Engineering Graphics Technology, and Interior Design.
