Happy 40th Birthday, ACC LEA!

Congrats! to the ACC Law Enforcement Academy for service and dedication to the community for 40 years!

All About the ACC LEA

ACC's LEA is a P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certified basic academy for entry into law enforcement. The LEA program serves self-sponsored and agency-sponsored cadets in a paramilitary and law enforcement squad room environment. In fact, ACC's LEA exceeds the hours required by P.O.S.T. for a basic Law Enforcement Academy and includes the P.O.S.T. written exam following graduation.

What can I expect to learn?

Upon graduation from the ACC LEA, you’ll be prepared to:

  • Explain individual & constitutional rights, and due process procedures
  • Apply leadership skills in challenging situations
  • Utilize critical thinking under duress
  • Provide in-depth insight about the criminal justice system
