The Arapahoe Community College Foundation will host a book signing with Dr. Jane Scott, ACC’s 2016 Distinguished Alumna, on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Half Moon (Room M1800).
Dr. Scott will sign copies of The Confident Parent, an upbeat and empowering guide that teaches how small changes can yield big results - helping both parents and kids feel more secure, confident and connected. Discover how to care for your little one without losing your joy, your mind or yourself.

Writers Studio at ACC will host a faculty reading and open mic event on Thursday, November 10, from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Library & Learning Commons.

Students and community members are invited to share original work in poetry, fiction and nonfiction, as well as excerpts of screenplays and plays.

Shared VisionsStudents from Arapahoe Community College and the Colorado Center for the Blind will present a collaborative and fully-accessible exhibit of multi-sensory and tactile art entitled "Shared Visions" from Nov. 10-18 at the Colorado Gallery of the Arts at ACC.

The show begins on Thursday, Nov. 10, with an opening reception from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served.  Admission is free and the exhibit is open to the public.  Hours of operation:

MONDAY - FRIDAY:  Noon - 5:00 p.m. (open Tuesdays until 7:00 p.m.)

ACC drawing and ceramics students will also have tactile works on display at a mixed media art exhibit at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) Gallery II - east end - at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder.  For this exhibit, ACC students’ ink drawings - based on short poems - were laser cut and accompanied by ceramic models of the same subject.  This exhibition is being held in partnership with Colorado Center for the Blind art instructor Ann Cunningham and will be on display through Dec. 2, including a reception on Saturday, Nov. 12 (Noon - 3:00 p.m.).

The Arapahoe Community College Littleton campus will host College Goal Sunday on Nov. 13 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Attendees will receive free professional guidance on ways to pay for college, specifically how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is a crucial step in the college planning process. The FAFSA must be completed for a student to receive any type of financial aid, including grants, work study, student loans and even many scholarships. Students are encouraged to submit their FAFSA at their earliest convenience to receive as much financial aid as possible.

The ACC Office of Financial Aid, in partnership with the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), is proud to announce the ACC FAFSA Lab.

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Lab will be open every Monday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. in M1030 (Lab will be closed on days that ACC is closed).

Financial Aid professionals will be available to offer assistance with FAFSA changes or completion, creating an FSA ID and password, and any questions related to the FAFSA.

ACC will host its Fall 2016 College Transfer Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Summit Room (M1900). This event is free and open to the public.


Meet with transfer/admissions advisors from local and national four-year schools to gather information about transfer options. Refreshments will be provided.
