Hello ACC Pumas –

We are so excited you are joining ACC for Spring 2026! Welcome to the college for all of you who are new to ACC – I think you will find it a special place. It is GREAT to welcome back all of you continuing and returning students! For all of you – returning, continuing and new students alike - we appreciate that you trust ACC with your career & academic goals, and we are excited you are joining us this Spring

Just some quick reminders for next week:

  • ACC is closed on Monday, January 19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and no services will be available.
  • Most Spring Semester classes will begin on January 20.
    • Need help? All Student Services offices will be open next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30am – 6:00pm, Tuesday will be 7:30am - 7:00pm and Friday is 8:00am - 5:00pm.
    • The ACC Library is a great resource – stop in if you are at Littleton. Check out the website to chat with a Librarian or schedule virtual services if you are online or taking classes in Castle Rock at our Sturm Collaboration Campus.
  • HAVE A GREAT SEMESTER! Congratulations on taking this step to complete your degree, better your career and achieve your goals!

Weather Conditions

Given the winter weather (that may or may not show up), we wanted to share information and reminders on ACC’s weather procedures. ACC students, staff and instructors all come from a variety of places to attend courses at any of ACC’s locations. Weather and road conditions can vary widely from Littleton to Parker to Castle Rock to wherever you may live.

  1. Your safety is the most important consideration.
  2. If you feel it is not safe to travel to campus from your location even if campus is open, please stay home. Check D2L to see any specific instructions on your class if it was to meet in person. Online classes continue during campus closures, and some in-person classes may switch to online - check D2L. Notify your instructor(s) that you will be absent and plan to complete any missed assignments - again check D2L for information from your instructor. Same goes for any appointments - please check ACC if you have an in-person appointment and weather conditions prevent you from making it to campus.
  3. Because ACC has different considerations, we DO NOT follow the same guidelines as K-12 school districts.
  4. ACC works hard to make the announcement of a closure or delayed start by 6:00am that day, and when necessary, at least 2 hours prior to an early closure.
  5. Notification is made through ACC’s emergency text system (all students are auto enrolled if you provided a cell number), to local media, and posted on the ACC main webpage and social media accounts. You can also download the ACC Alert app from any app store, but it is not necessary.
  6. Clinicals are not affected by campus delays or closures. Students who have clinicals should contact their instructor directly with questions.
