ACC Joins National Student Success Project
Arapahoe Community College (ACC) is a charter member of the newly-formed National Student Success Project (NSSP), a coalition of colleges and universities from across the nation committed to serving our students in the ways that matter most and highlighting the value of higher education.
NSSP is built upon five commitments that support student success in college and beyond: return on investment, affordability, academic excellence, career pathways, and dialogue & community.
The commitments can be used to initiate cabinet and board discussions, connect existing initiatives under a common student-centered narrative, identify areas requiring greater coordination, and communicate more clearly with students and stakeholders about the institution’s strategic plan.
"We are thrilled and honored to join the National Student Success Project,” said ACC President Stephanie J. Fujii, PhD, who serves on the NSSP Advisory Board. "Our participation affirms a core conviction: community colleges are engines of democracy because economic mobility is the foundation of democratic participation. By facilitating and investing in student success, we expand not just individual opportunity, but collective civic power."
NSSP is organized by a coalition of higher education associations: the American Council on Education, the American Association of Community Colleges, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, and the Association of American Universities. The project is supported by the Strada Education Foundation.
ACC drives new and creative approaches to education, with a focus on building forward-thinking pathways to social and economic mobility. ACC’s innovative, workforce-aligned programs deepen community and industry collaboration, ensuring students are equipped with skills and opportunities to thrive.
