Villegas Selected for NACUBO Emerging Leaders Program

Arapahoe Community College (ACC) Assistant Controller Christine Villegas has been selected to participate in the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) 2026–27 Emerging Leaders Program.

The Emerging Leaders Program is an immersive professional development experience for high-potential, mid-level professionals designed to strengthen their leadership capabilities and advance their careers in higher education. Participants will sharpen their leadership and communication skills, deepen their understanding of the evolving higher education business landscape, and build lasting relationships with colleagues from over five dozen nationwide colleges and universities.

Villegas, who earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver, is one of just 76 finance professionals from across the country to be selected for this year's program. The 2026-27 cohort will learn together in person and online through April 2027.

NACUBO, a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at more than 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities, works to advance the economic vitality, business practices, and support of higher education institutions in pursuit of their missions.
