ACC star parties, which are free and open to the public, will be held in an open house format (no RSVP necessary; attendees may arrive at their convenience).  ACC will provide telescopes, as well as complimentary hot cocoa and cookies.  Please dress appropriately for these outdoor events.

The newly-remodeled Arapahoe Community College Fitness Center will host an open house on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Meet the Fitness Center staff, tour the new facility and enjoy a variety of special activities, including:

Ed KramerThe Arapahoe Community College Library & Learning Commons will host “The Wizards of Hollywood: My Life from Jumanji to Star Wars” with guest speaker Ed Kramer on Tuesday, Sept. 27, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
 
Kramer will discuss movie magic secrets, computer-generated imagery (CGI) and some of the most memorable visual effects (VFX) in movie history. A former employee of Industrial Light & Magic (Lucasfilm LTD), Kramer has worked on many ground-breaking CGI films, including Jumanji, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean to name a select few.
 
Kramer has previously appeared in Denver at ComicCon, StarFest and Mile-Hi Con. Currently an instructor at the Art Institute of Colorado, Kramer will also be on hand at the Denver Film Festival this November.
