Student Life is sponsoring an evening at Domo Restaurant on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6:00 p.m.

Domo is a Japanese Country Foods restaurant in Denver.  Chef Gaku Homma is also the founder of Aikido Nippon Kan, located at the same address.  Also in this facility is a Japanese country museum and a traditional Japanese garden, making Domo a unique dining experience.

Cost is $10 per person, and transportation is not provided.

Undecided about your major or career path?  Join the Career and Transfer Center for the Career Explorer Series on Sept. 23 and 30 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. both days in Room M2070.  Attendance at both events is required.

    • Strong Interest Inventory
    • Myers Briggs Type Indicator

Registration and pre-assessment is required.  These workshops are free for students.  Fee is $45 for ACC alumni.  Register through ACC Career Connect or the Career & Transfer Center.

Clothing SwapThe Sustainability Club will host a clothing swap on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 14-15, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. both days in the Second Floor Student Lounge.

Donate used clothing and shop for something new.  Unclaimed clothing will be donated.

Most people wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time.  It is estimated that 2.5 billion pounds of clothing ended up in landfills last year.  Clean out your closet today and recycle your slightly-worn clothes and accessories.

The Arapahoe Community College Astronomy Program will host a "star party" on Friday, Oct. 16, from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Littleton Campus (West Lawn; between the Main Building and Lot G).

ACC will also host star parties on Oct. 22 (Parker Campus) and Nov. 20 (Littleton Campus).

Astronomy Star PartyStar parties will be held in an open house format, and attendees are welcome to arrive at their convenience.  ACC will provide a telescope at the star parties, which are free and open to the public (no RSVP necessary; please dress appropriately for these outdoor events).  Complimentary hot cocoa and cookies will be served.

Join ACC Astronomy Professor Jennifer Jones for your chance to observe the night sky and explore the vastness of the universe.

Arapahoe Community College will host its Fall 2015 College Transfer Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room (M1900).  This event is free and open to the public.

Meet with transfer/admissions advisors from local and national four-year schools to gather information about transfer options.  Pizza and prizes will be available, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet with ACC alumni who transferred successfully.

This is ColoradoThe 'This is Colorado' Juried Exhibition opens today.  The exhibit runs through Nov. 13.  The festivities will include an opening reception with light refreshments on Friday, Oct. 23, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

The juror for this exhibit is ACC Adjunct Painting Instructor Marsha Wooley.  Admission is free and the exhibit is open to the public.  Hours of operation:

MONDAY - FRIDAY:  Noon - 5:00 p.m. (open Tuesdays until 7:00 p.m.)
SATURDAY / SUNDAY:  closed
