Benefits of Getting your Advanced Paramedic Practitioner BAS
Not only will you broaden your knowledge and skillset, you will also be eligible to take the Critical Care Paramedic and Community Paramedic exams leading to endorsement in the State of Colorado at these levels. A new legislative change is the creation of an emergency medical service provider license that requires the completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Health Science or a related field. Currently, all EMS providers in Colorado are certified, not licensed. Once you complete the Advanced Paramedic Practitioner BAS degree completion program, you will be eligible for licensure in the State of Colorado.
Other recent legislative changes in the state of Colorado extended the practice settings for EMTs and paramedics to any clinical health facility that is licensed or certified by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. This expands the types of healthcare settings in which paramedics may practice.
