Arapahoe Community College (ACC) students Dustin Johns and Olha Tymoshchuk have been selected as 2025 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholars and will each receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The Leaders of Promise Scholarship, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, provides new Phi Theta Kappa members with financial resources to help defray educational expenses while enrolled in an associate degree program.

A grand total of 25 Leaders of Promise Scholarships are awarded annually to Phi Theta Kappa members who are active personnel in, or veterans of, the U.S. military. A panel of independent judges selected the 2025 recipients from more than 600 applicants. Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholars are selected based on outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated leadership potential.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society recognizes the academic achievements of college students while providing opportunities for members to grow as scholars and leaders. ACC English Faculty Rachel Newlon serves as the faculty advisor for ACC's Sigma Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
