Arapahoe Community College (ACC) Reference and Open Educational Resources (OER) Librarian mitch cota received the Exceptional OER Partner Award from the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Colorado OER Council at the 2025 Colorado OER Conference on May 30 in Greeley.

mitch, who was recognized for being a supportive partner in OER advancement at institutional and state levels, also served as one of four keynote speakers at the Colorado OER Conference.

More than 25,000 ACC students have saved over $3 million in textbook costs with OER since the fall of 2019.
