The opening reception for ACC's juried exhibition entitled "This is Colorado" is today from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  The event runs through Nov. 14.

Light refreshments will be provided at this event, which is free and open to the public.  The Colorado Gallery of the Arts is located on the first floor of the ACC Annex building (map).

The ACC Psychology Club will host Cheri Bishop and Sheila B. from National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) on Monday, Oct. 27, at 10:00 a.m. in Room M4010.

Cheri and Sheila will present about the support services and advocacy NAMI offers for people with mental disorders and for their loved ones.  NAMI is instrumental on a local, state and national level in advocating for changes in policy and treatment structure to better serve citizens with mental illness.  In addition, Cheri will discuss her experiences as a parent of a child with a severe mental illness, and Sheila will discuss her experiences living with schizophrenia.

Halloween costume contestJoin us for our annual Halloween costume contest on Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Second Floor Student Lounge.  Contest check-in is at 11:00 a.m., and the judging will begin at 11:30 a.m.

The Arapahoe Community College Child Development Center will put on its annual Trick-or-Treat children’s parade on Friday, Oct. 31, beginning at 11:15 a.m. in the Second Floor Student Lounge.

Please join us to hand out candy to our community’s little super heroes, princesses and monsters.  As an allegry precaution, please refrain from distributing candy (or other treats) containing nuts.
