The ACC Criminal Justice Club will host a meeting on Monday, Oct. 6, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Room M4810.  A Special Agent from the FBI will be speaking about their experience and career path.  Refreshments will be provided at this meeting, which is free and open to the public.

Student Affairs presents "American History Live: An afternoon with President Teddy Roosevelt" on Tuesday, Oct. 7, beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Half Moon.

Don Moon as Teddy RooseveltWhere does the name “Teddy Bear” come from?  Why do we have national parks?  Hear about it from Teddy Roosevelt himself.  Step back in time with Don Moon as he brings to life the trust-busting, Rough Rider and noted conservationist of the American West, Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt.  Moon will capture the exuberance and cowboy persona of the 26th U.S. President while discussing how Roosevelt's time in the American West provided healing and influenced his character.  Moon will also tell of Roosevelt's achievements as a triumphant war hero.

Twisted Trivia

The Arapahoe Community College Equality Club presents "Twisted Trivia" on Wednesday, Oct. 8, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Half Moon.

Join us for prizes and food while testing your knowledge of ACC, “queens” around the world and the LGBT community.  This event, which will be hosted by two drag queens, is free and open to the public.

The Arapahoe Community College Astronomy Program will host four "star parties" during the Fall 2014 semester.  Observe the night sky at the Littleton Campus (West Lawn; between the Main Building and Lot G) on Sept. 12, Oct. 17 and Nov. 7, and at the Parker Campus on Sept. 18.

Star parties will be held in an open house format from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., and attendees are welcome to arrive at their convenience.  ACC will provide a telescope at the star parties, which are free and open to the public (no RSVP necessary; please dress appropriately for these outdoor events).  Complimentary hot cocoa and cookies will be served.
