Arapahoe Community College's Sigma Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society earned first place in the Honors in Action Theme #3 (Quests of Human Expression) category during the Phi Theta Kappa Colorado Regional Convention on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7, at ACC.


Casey L. Betancur, Jr., and Brogden Worcester have been selected as Arapahoe Community College's Rising Stars for the 2014-15 academic year by the State Student Advisory Council (SSAC).

Nominees must be currently enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours, possess a 3.000-or-above college GPA and display a high level of involvement in college activities and student leadership.

Arapahoe Community College alumnus John Whatley has been named a 2015 Coca-Cola New Century Scholar by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Whatley, who is also one of two ACC representatives on the 2015 Phi Theta Kappa All-Colorado Academic Team, has earned a $2,000 scholarship and will be recognized at the American Association of Community College's (AACC) Annual Convention and the Phi Theta Kappa Annual Convention in April, as well as at the annual Phi Theta Kappa All-Colorado Academic Team Recognition Ceremony and Honorary Luncheon on March 11 at the Denver Athletic Club.


Arapahoe Community College's Darcy Briggs (Registrar and Director of Enrollment Services) and Michael McManus (Director of Advising and Retention) have both been accepted into the 2015 class of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers’ (AACRAO) Strategic Enrollment Management Endorsement Program (SEM-EP).


Rudy BettmannArapahoe Community College Mortuary Science Faculty Rudy Bettmann was inducted into the Colorado Soccer Association Hall of Fame on Saturday evening, Feb. 7, 2015, during the annual Colorado Soccer Association Awards Banquet at the Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows.
