The Game Design and Development program is a unique program that offers training in such areas as game programming and development, 2D and 3D modeling and animation. Course electives allow you to emphasize on Multimedia or Computer Science disciplines.

Our lab is equipped with up-to-date tools and engines which provide students with the right hands-on experience in conjunction with the academics of the courses offered.

Jobs Are Growing

Employment of computer programmers is expected to increase 12% from 2010 to 2020, the estimated number of Computer and Mathematical employed in Colorado in 2012 was 96,473. It is projected that in 2022 there will be 125,065.

Employment of software developers is projected to grow 30% from 2010 to 2020, much faster than the average for all occupations. The main reason for the rapid growth is a large increase in the demand for computer software. Employment of multimedia artists and animators is expected to grow by 8% from 2010 to 2020. Consumers will continue to demand more realistic video games, movie and television special effects, and 3D movies. Video game studios will require additional multimedia artists and animators to meet this increased demand.

In addition, an increased demand for computer graphics for mobile devices, will lead to more job opportunities. Multimedia artists will be needed to create animation for games and applications for mobile devices.
