They are driven by a desire to make a living while making a difference and are often initiated by a set of challenges, obstacles or realizations signaling it is time for a change! Explore this animal called Encore Career. What it is? How does the concept of second adulthood fit in? Where do I to start? What might you want to include in your encore career? How do you begin the pathway to your encore transition? This introductory class is for you if you are at or approaching midlife and would like to explore ways of work that combines personal meaning and social purpose.

Your First Step to a New Career

Lynette Reiling
Are you thinking that 2018 could be the year to create a new work life? Author Marci Alboher believes that “career transitions have two essential parts.  The first part is internal where you reflect and do self-assessment. The second part is where you test things out in the real world.” Whether you are considering a transition to a new career or position, opening a business, or thinking about what might be next for you in retirement this class is for you. In this active and engaging class you will complete and discuss self-assessment exercises and learn about the transition process so you can navigate it consciously. This class is a perfect precursor and complement to the classes Purpose, Passion and a Paycheck, Break the Employment Barrier, Make a Difference as a Social Entrepreneur, and Entrepreneurs in Colorado.
