(January 19, 2011 – Littleton, Colorado) - Arapahoe Community College (ACC) is pleased to welcome Matthew McKeever as the new dean of Community and Workforce Partnerships. In this role, McKeever will oversee Workforce Training, Community Education, Marketing and Public Information and the College’s Parker Campus.
“We are excited to have Matt join our ACC community,” ACC President Diana Doyle said. “His background and skills will add significantly to our mission, goals, and programs.”
McKeever previously served as director of Statewide Extended Studies for the Colorado Department of Higher Education. As director, he served as an advocate for the extended studies/continuing education units at each of the state’s public, four-year higher education institutions and worked to increase access to higher education for non-traditional students. Prior to his work at the Department of Higher Education, McKeever served as the coordinator of Executive Development Programs at the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Leeds School of Business and Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies.
McKeever earned his bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his master’s degree in education and human resource studies from Colorado State University. He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in education and human resource studies from Colorado State University.
McKeever served as the Department of Higher Education liaison to various committees including former Gov. Bill Ritter's P-20 Education Council’s Preparation and Transition subcommittee. McKeever is also a past board member of Colorado Online Learning.
