Join us a for a free Mental Health First Aid or Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. Our engaging training program will help you decrease stigma, address tough challenges, and allow you to show up fully in your daily lives and support those around you. In the Youth Mental Health First Aid training, you’ll learn how to help young people ages 12-18. Topics include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, bullying, social media, substance use and ADHD.
Available Dates (all sessions will include pre-work and in-person sessions will be at the Littleton Campus):

What Mental Health First Aid Covers
- The relevance of mental health to the campus community.
- Risk factors and protective factors specific to the higher education setting.
- Using the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) in scenarios designed specifically for faculty, administration and students.
- National, campus and community mental health resources.
In Youth Mental Health First Aid, you'll learn how to:
- Recognize signs and symptoms in young people.
- Use the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE).
- Interact with a young person in crisis.
- Connect a young person with professional help.
- Address stigma and explain that recovery is possible.
- Encourage young people to practice self-care.
