The Arapahoe Community College Parker Campus will serve as the venue for an information session with six Ukrainian college teachers and their interpreter on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Ukrainian teachers, who are being hosted by the Rotary Club of Parker, will engage in conversation with ACC faculty and staff about the College’s curriculum, facilities and administration.  The Ukrainian teachers’ eight-day visit to Colorado, which will include visits with Colorado state legislators and educators ranging from pre-school through higher education, is sponsored by the U.S. State Department.

The ACC Parker Campus (formerly University Center at Chaparral) received notoriety five years ago as a leader in public / private partnerships for hosting several Russian leaders as part of the 2005 Open World Program.

The Colorado Gallery of the Arts will present an Interior Design and Architectural Faculty Art Show from Oct. 19 – Nov. 16.  The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Gallery hours on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday hours run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The Colorado Gallery of the Arts is located at Arapahoe Community College (Littleton Campus).  The gallery, which is closed on weekends, is located on the first floor of the ACC Annex building.

This show will include ASID and AED faculty exhibiting their fine art and professional designs.  The festivities will also include a reception, which is open to the public, on Oct. 21 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The ACC Child Development Center will have a Butter Braid fundraiser from Oct. 17 - Nov. 7.  All proceeds will go to benefit the ACC Child Development Center.
