Jason Arment, MFA, author, and war veteran will be reading from his new war memoir, Musalaheen, Thursday, October 11 from 4:00-5:30 in the ACC Library & Learning Commons on the Littleton Campus.
From the jacket: "'Musalaheen' is the Arabic word for gunslinger...Musalaheen is a chronicle of boots on the ground in an occupied land and Arment unflinchingly offers the reader a window into their own complicity in genocidal empire building."
Arment's work was chosen for publication in the Best American Essays 2017, and he recently had an article published in the New York Times, among countless other literary awards and publications.
Arment will be selling and signing his war memoir after the reading and a discussion on creative nonfiction.
