McKinnell Special Collection

Jim and Nan McKinnell were well-known ceramists who greatly influenced ceramic technology during their 50-year career.  The McKinnells were innovators and educators who took an active role in changing the identity of American ceramics in the mid-20th century.

The ACC Foundation is proud to be the recipient of many of their books, slides and papers.  Over 200 books are now on display and available to be checked out from the Library.  Several pottery pieces representing Jim and Nan McKinnell's work are also on display.

Please join us as we celebrate the McKinnells’ lives, work and contributions to the ceramic community.  ACC President Dr. Diana Doyle is scheduled to attend this event, which is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.
