The Algebraic Literacy Pathway
The Algebraic Literacy Pathway is for students pursuing degrees that REQUIRE MAT 121 College Algebra. In Colorado, this would be the pathway for students entering programs in the Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Psychology or Business. Note that some Nursing programs in Colorado require MAT 121 College Algebra.
This course will help you develop algebraic skills necessary for manipulating expressions and solving equations. Topics in the course include radicals, complex numbers, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, quadratic equations, absolute value equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations, related applications, and math learning strategies. This course prepares students for College Algebra and Finite Math.
