May 12-25, 2016
ACC, in collaboration with EF Tours, delivers Art and Photography in Spain and France during the Summer of 2016!
Spend two weeks in Europe viewing and making art, split between 7 nights in Barcelona and 5 nights in Paris. Our instructors will help you create wonderful memories while experiencing two of Europe's most welcoming cities.
ACC Painting students will be introduced to the particular concerns and methods associated with working in Spanish and French landscapes and cityscapes.
ACC Photography students will learn creative methods associated with documenting Spanish and French landscapes, cityscapes and people.
Follow the long sandy beaches along the low-rise Costa Brava towards cosmopolitan Barcelona, Spain's second largest city, our first stop. We will tour and create art in the spectacular locale of Barcelona and visit Girona and Montserrat as well. On Day 9 we board the high speed train to Paris, the City of Light. No other city in Europe has such a rich art tradition. In Paris, we will see many of the major museums and monuments with our Paris Museum Pass including a trip to Fountainebleau Palace.
When it's time to return, you will bring home memories of a trip of a lifetime with photographs, sketches and paintings you created on the spot. Students will continue to work during the summer, creating a body of work for the Colorado Gallery of the Arts exhibit, "Art and Photography in Spain and France".
