Arapahoe Community College understands that students who opt for online classes deserve no less attention or support in their efforts to get an education than students who choose to attend traditional on-campus classes.
At ACC, our mission is to provide all our students with innovative and responsive educational and economic opportunities in an accessible, inclusive environment that promotes success – and that mission is prevalent in the culture of our online college as well.
We want our students to be successful, and we’re here to help make that happen. We are ready to assist online students with 24-hour technical support as well as an online self-help solution center. Instructors are also available by email to answer your questions and discuss assignments.
Our Online Learning Management System
Desire2Learn (D2L) is the learning management system ACC uses to offer both online and hybrid courses. This platform allows you to access your classes at any time, 24 hours a day, giving you the flexibility to review lectures, read course material and complete assignments when it works for you. D2L further primes you for success by sending course notifications and announcements straight to your cell phone or personal email addresses to ensure you are always informed. D2L is also how you will participate in online discussions, submit assignments and take quizzes.
Available Resources to Help You Succeed
Our faculty cares about their students. ACC instructors and professors take the time to get to know each student and understand how each individual learns – and that is no different in the culture of our online college. In order to ensure you get the full experience from your online education, our instructors lead online courses using many of the same teaching tools that in-classroom teachers use: text documents, PowerPoint presentations, audio lectures, full video lectures and more.
At ACC, part of our culture of success is helping our students – both in-classroom and online – prepare for life after graduation. At ACC’s Career and Transfer Center, we provide students with:
- Personalized Career Counseling
- Career Assessments and Exploration Services
- Career Resource Library
- Resume Writing and Interview Techniques
- Free Computer and Internet Access
- Job Postings
- Career and Job Fairs
With more than 200 online classes, students are sure to find the courses they need in order to take the next step in their educational journeys. To learn more about Arapahoe Community College’s online courses and online college, visit our Online Learning page.
