Learning Communities

Enroll in two courses that are linked by a common theme and become part of an active Learning Community at ACC.

Two Paired Classes. One Common Theme.

Take a deep dive into course subject matter by co-enrolling in two courses that share a common theme. For example, you might take classes in literature and psychology, which would be held back to back and share a theme, such as “apocalypse.” The classes tie together reading assignments and discussions about the literature and psychological components of the “apocalypse.” Your ACC classroom becomes a place of community-building that includes active learning activities, group processes, and cooperative learning techniques. That’s why at ACC we call it a Learning Community!
