The course will examine the evidence for, and science behind, the Big Bang and inflation, the expanding universe, dark matter and dark energy, and the possible futures of the universe as a whole. The rise of complex life in our universe, the anthropic principle and the theory of multiple universes will also be included. Unification theories may be covered.
