Eligibility Guidelines

You must:

• Be enrolled in ACC (at minimum) as a half-time regular student.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen.
• Be making satisfactory progress in your course of study.
• Not be in default on a Federal Student Loan at any education institution.
• Not be owed a refund on a Federal Grant at any educational institution.
• Be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program.

Two types of need-based aid:

• Gift assistance: includes grants from state, federal and institutional sources.
• Self-help: comprised of work-study and/or loans. Indicates that the student has a responsibility to provide his/her fair share of the cost of going to school.

You must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per semester to receive funds from most of these programs.
