ACC offers three different types of testing for students:

  1. Instructional Testing is available for current students who need to take make-up tests and any telecourse or on-line class tests where the student may need a proctored environment. An Appointment must be made.
  2. Placement Testing is mandated by Community Colleges of Colorado Board Policy for community college students who are either:
    1. Degree seeking (not including certificates). This includes continuing students who switch from unknown to degree seeking; and/or
    2. Enrolling in College-level English or math.

For Study Guides, please see the online study resource.

No appointments are needed for Accuplacer assessments.

  3. GED Testing for students planning to take the GED High School Equivalency Examination. GED preparation classes are run through ACC's Community Education Department.

Also available: Correspondence Exam, Dantes Exam, Pre-GED Exam, and Hobet Exam.

CLEP (The College-Level Examination Program) is now being offered in our ACC Testing Center. CLEP provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. There are 2,900 colleges that grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams.

Satisfy a proficiency requirement. Demonstrate you've already mastered the content of, for example, a basic math or language course. Great for dual degree candidates or students just a few credits shy of graduation.

CLEP exam cost $72.00 plus $25.00 to proctor the exam. The CLEP exams are free to military service members. CLEP is offered by appointment only. Please call 303.797.5808 to schedule an appointment.

Please visit www.collegeboard.com/clep. Or call 1.800.257.9558 for any CLEP information.
