ACC offers three different types of testing for students:
- Instructional Testing is available
for current students who need to take make-up tests and any telecourse
or on-line class tests where the student may need a proctored
environment.
- Placement Testing is mandated by
Community Colleges of Colorado Board Policy for community college
students who are either:
- Degree seeking (not including certificates). This includes
continuing students who switch from unknown to degree seeking;
and/or
- Enrolling in College-level English or math.
For Study Guides, please see the online
study resource.
- GED Testing for students planning to take
the GED High School Equivalency Examination. GED preparation classes
are run through ACC's Community
Education Department.
Also available: Correspondence Exam, Dantes Exam, Pre-GED Exam,
and Hobet Exam.
CLEP (The College-Level Examination Program) is now being offered
in our ACC Testing Center. CLEP provides students of any age with
the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through
a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. There are 2,900
colleges that grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams.
Satisfy a proficiency requirement. Demonstrate you've already
mastered the content of, for example, a basic math or language course.
Great for dual degree candidates or students just a few credits
shy of graduation.
CLEP exam cost $65.00 plus $25.00 to proctor the exam. The CLEP exams are free to military service members. CLEP is offered by appointment only. Please call 303.797.5808 to schedule an appointment.
Please visit www.collegeboard.com/clep.
Or call 1.800.257.9558 for any CLEP information.
