Officer meetings are held every first Thursday of each month from 6-7 p.m. in Room M3670 during fall and spring semesters. Special events such as Honor Topic seminars and movie nights are scheduled every third Thursday of each month. Check out the campus bulletin boards and televisions for upcoming events.

Honor Topic Seminars

Events include a lecture and discussion surrounding our Honors Topic, “The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, and Consequences.”

Adopt-A-Highway

Sigma Phi and the Colorado Department of Transportation team to maintain a two-mile segment of highway. Trash pickups are scheduled for spring and fall. Look for more information via campus bulletin boards and televisions.

Relay for Life

Sigma Phi heads a team of volunteers to raise money and participate in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life summer event. All are welcome to join our team and help the ACS fight all forms of cancer.

Campus Aluminum Can Recycling

Sigma Phi is responsible for the blue recycling bins here on campus. Proceeds go to support our society’s events.

Phi Theta Kappa Book Sale

An ongoing activity, which provides income for society events and initiatives.

Better World Books Drive

Please consider donating any old textbooks to the Better World Book Drive. The Sigma Phi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (that’s us – the ACC chapter!) has been collecting old textbooks for the last year and we will be collecting books again this year. These books are sent to third-world countries and are used for educating students who have no other way of obtaining textbooks.

Please feel free to drop any texts you have in Erica M. Hastert mailbox Room M3608. If you have a big stack of texts, please e-mail erica.johnson@arapahoe.edu and she will have someone come and pick them up and take them to M3608. .
