Every new student wants to be successful and realize their educational goals. To help you get started we hold New Student Orientations.

Academic Advisors will work with you to develop a course plan leading to achieving your goals as quickly and affordably as possible. Follow-up meetings will enable your Advisor to help you continue on a successful track as long as you remain at ACC.

Here’s what you’ll get from your Academic Advising appointment:

• Information about ACC degrees and certificates.
• How the ACCUPLACER test gets you started on the right track.
• Information about registering for classes.
• Transfer opportunities.
• Information about ACC’s many support resources.

When do I meet with my advisor?

You’ll meet with your advisor before initial registration and registration for each subsequent semester to determine which classes best meet your educational goals. Your advisor must sign your schedule before you register.
