Special Testing Information

It is essential to know your instructor's last name and correct spelling, course number, specific test number when requesting a test. Some other important requirements for testing are:

  • The Testing Center closes promptly at the designated time. We may refuse testing if adequate time is not allotted before closing.
  • A Picture ID, such as a Driver's License or Student ID, must be shown when signing in.
  • Books, notebooks, notes, etc, must be put in a locker before entering the Testing room. Use of books, notes, tables, calculators, dictionaries, etc. during a test are permitted only when Instructor informs Center personnel they may be used.

STUDENTS FOUND CHEATING WILL BE REFERRED TO THE INSTRUCTOR for action. Each test has different requirements. Listed here are pre-requirements for you to come prepared for your test. Please come prepared with the requirement for your specific test. Listed here are several of the requirements for testing services:

  • Some tests require a Scantron Answer Sheet Form, or a Bluebook. Scantrons are sold in the Testing Center. They may also be purchased at the Bookstore or the Computer Lab, Room M1650. Scantrons require a #2 pencil.
  • Arrangement and Telecourse students must complete half of the tests for the course by mid-term if there are no set deadline dates
  • No make-up or retake tests from regular classes will be given during the last week of a semester. That time is reserved for Arrangement, Telecourse, and Educational Support Services testing.
  • The Center is very busy the last two weeks of a semester so you must have an appointment. In addition, the increased number of students may contribute to a noisy environment making concentration difficult.
  • Plan an exam schedule, spacing test taking throughout the semester.
  • Arrangement and Telecourse testing is often self-paced so a course can be completed early. Check with the Instructor or course outline for deadlines.
  • Discuss questions about test material with your Instructor.
  • You cannot leave the Center while taking a test. If you do, you may not complete the test without the Instructor's permission.

Remember, preparation is key to success. Please come prepared to alleviate any unnecessary stress factors on testing day.
