When is the Library open?

Spring and Fall Semesters

Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday: 7.30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m..

Summer Semester

Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Closed Weekends

What do I need to check out books from the Library?

Your ACC student ID card is also your library card. You can obtain a student  ID card from Campus Police in Room M2630. You will need this card to check materials out of the Library, view audio/visual materials, check out laptops to be used in the Library, and check out reserve items.

Where can I find the usernames and passwords for the databases?

Databases can be accessed from any on-campus computer without the use of usernames or passwords. For off-campus access, you will find the usernames and passwords on the Library tab in myACC under the heading Research Databases in the middle column. A sheet with all the database usernames and passwords can also be picked up in the Library.

Is wireless Internet access available in the Library?

Yes. Wireless access is available through the "WiFi" standard. Most users can simply bring their wireless-enabled laptops to the Library and access the Internet.

What is the Library's Computer Use Policy?

In accordance with Colorado Community College System's General Computer and Information Systems Procedures, screen displays of images, sounds or messages that could create an atmosphere of discomfort or harassment for others, especially those considered obscene or sexually explicit are prohibited. Violation of this procedure may result in the loss of computer privileges.

  • ACC students have priority over non-students.
  • Use of computers for research has priority over all other uses.
  • A picture ID must be presented if requested by a librarian or library staff member.
  • Food is not permitted at computer stations. Covered drinks are allowed.
  • All computer users must pay 10 cents per page for black and white and 25 cents per page for color printing. Pay at the circulation desk.
  • Be aware that any and all files saved to a library computer are deleted nightly.
  • Do not shut down computers when you are finished.

Can I save documents from the Library's computers onto an external source?

Yes.CD-Rs are available for $1, CD-RWs for $2, and 4 GB flash drives are $15.

Can I print documents from the Library computers?

Yes. Printing is available for 10 cents per page for black and white and 25 cents per page for color. Please pay at the circulation desk prior to exiting the Library.

Does the Library have a copy machine and scanner?

Yes! The Library has two copy machines on the second floor. Copies are 10 cents per black and white page. We also have a scanner on the reference desk. User instructions are posted and there is no charge to use this machine.

Are children allowed in the Library?

Children ages 12 and under are allowed in the Library only if they are escorted and supervised by an adult.
