Support services are available to students with disabilities who have a documented need for accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 504. Services may include but are not limited to:
- Test and classroom accommodations.
- Interpreters for students who are Deaf or Hearing Impaired
- Classroom materials or college publications in alternate print formats such as Braille, enlarged print, or audio formats on CD
- Self-advocacy training and ADA/504 information
- Specialized orientations for support services
- Use of adaptive equipment such as sound amplification or enlargement devices
Referrals to:
- Classes in word processing and keyboarding with computer adaptations
- Computer access programs and strategies to help with: spelling difficulties, vision impairments, keyboard access problems, hearing impairments, and hands-on learning needs.
- On and off-campus resources
- Tutoring
