Arapahoe Community College Hosting Job Fair Open to the Public

(October 18, 2007 - Littleton, Colo.) The Career Center at Arapahoe Community College (ACC) will hold their Fall Job Fair on Thursday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free job fair will enable ACC students and community members to meet one-on-one with recruiters and human resources staff from a large number of employers.

Approximately 40 to 50 employers from the government, financial, health care, retail, security, insurance, sales, military, non-profit, marketing, hospitality and other sectors will be represented at this job fair. Information and advising on ACC career, degree and certificate programs will also be available. Attendees should "dress for success" and bring copies of their resumes. Also to be held on November 8, Andrea Hoffman, M.A., Community Relations Manager with Jobing.com, will present on, "Land Your Dream Job." This is a free and public seminar.

The ACC Career Fair will be held in the second floor lobby of the College's Main Building at 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive in Littleton. Parking will be free in all ACC lots and no permits will be required during this event. The "Land Your Dream Job" seminar will be held in the Main Building in the Half Moon, Room M1800 from noon to 1 p.m.

The Career Center also sponsors monthly six-hour Career Planning Seminars for those undecided on a career goal or wanting to make a career change. Community members are welcome. The next Career Planning Seminar will be presented over the course of three consecutive Mondays on November 5, 12 and 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees must attend all three sessions. The sign-up deadline for this seminar is October 31. Another Career Planning Seminar will be presented over the course of three consecutive Wednesdays on December 5, 10 and 12 with a sign-up deadline of November 30. There is a small fee for these Seminars.
