(October 10, 2007 - Littleton, Colo.) In a new seasonal twist on exercise this fall, Arapahoe Community College's Fitness Center is partnering with Centennial's Holistic Health, to help women get in shape by pumping pumpkins and training with turkeys.

"It's tough to get motivated to exercise when the holidays are around the corner," explains Priscilla Friedlander, the coach of a month-long "Fall Fitness Challenge Women's Boot Camp." "However, this fall, we will be helping women start a healthier lifestyle with a program that will include working out with pumpkins during Halloween season and exercising with frozen turkeys at Thanksgiving approaches." Friedlander's camp is being offered in October and will be repeated for new participants in November. " She adds, "But if having the chance to receive a pumpkin or a turkey is not incentive enough; participants will also have the chance to win a free iPod."

From October 15 through November 9, at ACC's Fitness Center, the first "Boot Camp" is being conducted with participants meeting twice-a-day for four weeks on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Those who miss the October class can sign up for a second camp that runs from November 19 through December 19. In addition, late-start inquiries for the October boot camp can also be made by calling Friedlander at 720.951.0101.

"Muscles and prizes are not all the participants will get," explains Friedlander. "Some women don't really like to exercise, so, I try to come up with outrageous workouts that encourage them to have fun while they sweat." Women interested in registering should visit www.womenfitnesscamps.com. For more information contact Friedlander at 720.951.0101 or e-mail her at priscilla@holistichealthco.net.
