ACC Brings Full Slate of Non-credit Learning Opportunities to
Castle Rock, Parker and Highlands Ranch

(September 7, 2007 - Douglas County, Colo.) Arapahoe Community College has been offering life-enriching and skills-enhancing non-credit courses in Douglas County for over a decade. From late September throughout November, 19 courses will be offered in Castle Rock, Parker and Highlands Ranch. Most courses run between one and five sessions and are offered at convenient times for working adults . Class dates, start times, tuition costs and course descriptions are available by downloading ACC's Fall Non-credit Schedule at www.arapahoe.edu/communityed/ or by calling 303.797.5722.

Castle Rock classes offered at Castle View High School include: Drawing Fundamentals; Digital Photography Basics; Beginning Color Photography for Digital and SLR Cameras; Beginning Interior Design, Beginning English as a Second Language; Writing for Fun and Profit; Beginning Spanish I; Small Business Start-up; and Web Site Savvy.

Parker classes offered at the University Center at Chaparral include: Intermediate English as a Second Language; Introduction to Microsoft Word; Intermediate Microsoft Word; Beginning Microsoft Access; Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Access; Introduction to Excel; Intermediate Excel; and Advanced Excel 97.

Highlands Ranch classes offered at Highlands Ranch High School include: Beginning Spanish I; Beginning Spanish II; Intermediate Spanish I; and Intermediate Spanish II.

"We are aiming to work even more with local residents and further expand our course offerings to residents who live in and around Castle Rock, Parker and Highlands Ranch to meet local needs as each area grows," says Arapahoe Community College Non-credit Education Director Kim Larson-Cooney. "We are also always looking for additional instructors to teach a variety of subject areas. Anyone with expertise through their job or a hobby that wants to share that with local residents should contact us at 303.797.5722."
