Arapahoe Community College Hosting Job Fair Open to the Public

(April 1, 2007 – Littleton, Colo.) Arapahoe Community College’s (ACC) Career Center will hold their Spring Career Fair on Thursday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free job fair will enable ACC students and community members to meet one-on-one with recruiters and human resources staff from a large number of employers.

Approximately 40 - 50 employers from the government, financial, health care, retail, security, insurance, sales, military, non-profit, marketing, hospitality and other sectors will be represented at this job fair.  Information and advising on ACC career, degree and certificate programs will also be available.  Attendees should “dress for success” and bring copies of their resumes.

During the fair, Cheryl Suave, M.A., a Nonprofit Management faculty member from Regis University, will present on “Careers in the Nonprofit Sector.” This is a free and public seminar.

 The ACC Career Fair will be held in the second floor lobby of the main campus building at 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive in Littleton. Suave’s seminar will also be held in the main campus building in the Half Moon Room, from noon to 1 p.m. Parking will be free in all ACC lots and no permits will be required during this event

ACC’s Career Center also sponsors monthly six-hour Career Planning Seminars for those undecided on a career goal or wanting to make a career change.  Community members are welcome.  The next Career Planning Seminar will be held on Monday, April 9 (first session), Wednesday, April 11 (second session), and Monday, April 16 (third session) from 6-8 p.m.  Attendees must attend all three sessions.  Sign-up deadline is April 4.  The next Career Planning Seminar begins on Wednesday, May 2 with a sign-up deadline of April 27.  There is a fee for these Seminars.
