2007 Columbine Poetry Fest
(September 18, 2007 - Littleton, Colo.) Arapahoe Community College's Writers Studio and the Columbine Poets organization are co-hosting the 2007 Columbine Poetry Fest on September 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Half Moon Room of Arapahoe Community College, 5900 South Santa Fe Drive in Littleton. Poetry lovers are invited to the fest to come celebrate "The Power of the Word."
The 2007 Columbine Poetry Fest will include: an Open Reading in which attendees may read two poems; winners of the 2007 Shavano Poets Contest reading their winning poems; a poetry reading by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer and Stewart S. The day will also include a session entitled, "Wordcrafting", in which Trommer and Warren will help participants explore words and cadence. Attendees are encouraged to bring a poem to this session that they are willing to resculpt. Admission to the Poetry Fest is free to students and $20 for everyone else (except for members of the Columbine Poets group who may attend for $10). An on-your-own lunch break will be provided in which participants may visit the many eateries near the campus. To RSVP e-mail anitajg5@aol.com or call 303-538-4828 and leave a message.
