Exhibit at ACC to Showcase Works of South Metro Community Artists from May 18 to June 22

(May 10, 2007 – Littleton, Colo.) Arapahoe Community College’s annual Community Education Art Exhibition will be featured at the Colorado Gallery of the Arts from May 18 through June 22. The exhibition is a showcase of the excellent art created during the past year from community members enrolled in the non-credit art classes offered in ACC’s Community Education Program. Additionally, this juried show will also feature the top works of the program’s faculty. The juror of the exhibition is ACC Painting and Drawing Instructor Jan Fordyce. The public is invited to an opening reception of the exhibit, complete with hors d’oeuvres, on Friday, May 18, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The pieces exhibited were produced by students and faculty who participated in painting, drawing, photography and sculpture classes. “This is a great opportunity for members of the community to witness the creative talent we have in the South Metro Denver area,” remarks ACC Community Education Director Kim Larson-Cooney.

The Colorado Gallery of the Arts is located inside the Main Building of Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive. The Gallery is located on the first floor at the northeast end of the building (near the Annex). The Gallery’s hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gallery will also be open on Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
