ACC INTRODUCES "COLLEGE IN THE RANCH"
Convenient College Classes for Highlands Ranch Residents
(July 21, 2007) Highlands Ranch (HR) residents are encouraged to enroll now in any of five Arapahoe Community College courses that will be taught evenings during the Fall semester at Highlands Ranch High School. The program, dubbed "College in the Ranch," provides HR residents the convenient opportunity to pursue higher education without venturing north of C-470.
"Principles of Accounting," will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m."Introduction to Business," will be taught on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. "Principles of Macroeconomics," occurs on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
Two other classes will enable Highlands Ranch residents to take the Real Estate Appraisal Licensure Exam. The classes are: "Real Estate Appraisal," offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. from August 21 through November 8 and "Uniform Standards/Appraisal," offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. from November 13 through December 6.
To enroll in any of the five "College in the Ranch" classes one must complete the ACC Application and enroll at the College.
"As the community college charged by the state to serve Highlands Ranch, we are pleased to be offering these quality educational options this fall," remarked ACC President Dr. Bert Glandon. "Our Real Estate classes are a terrific opportunity for the increasing number of baby boomers who are re-careering or seeking part-time retirement work," he added.
