Arapahoe Community College’s STEM Scholars program will continue to provide up to 25 scholarships per academic year at $2,000 per semester ($4,000 per year maximum) throughout the course of the current four-year grant period.
The STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Scholars program at ACC was made possible through a grant from the National Science Foundation in 2011.
The program, is available to students with financial need (according to FAFSA) who are interested in studying in the STEM disciplines of biology, chemistry, physics and math.

- Develop a STEM Academic Plan
- Discuss academic and professional goals
- Discuss industry opportunities and trends,
- Shadow on the job professions;
- Tailor portfolio/capstone projects
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours) in the AS-degree program, be U.S. citizens and be eligible for Federal financial aid. Furthermore, the STEM Scholars advisory team will evaluate applicants based on financial need, high school transcripts and an essay detailing their interest in STEM areas. Applicants are also required to submit a letter of recommendation from a STEM teacher or faculty member or a STEM industry professional. Current ACC students are required to submit college transcripts, as well.
