ACC Connect Scholarship

Amount: $1000/academic year
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Criteria
: You must be a recent high school graduate with 12 ACC* credit hours (completed) while concurrently enrolled in high school.
              *Recent graduates from Englewood High School; please contact the ACC Scholarship Coordinator to discuss alternative options to meet this requirement.

ACC STEM Scholars – (Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics)

More about the STEM Scholars program

Amount: $4000/academic year
Minimum GPA: 3.0 or ACT score of 21 or higher
Criteria: You must be a U.S. Citizen and enrolled in the Associate of Science degree.
Minimum Enrollment: 12 credit hours
Also Required: Submit an essay detailing your interest in STEM areas, and a letter of recommendation from a STEM professional/faculty member. Scholarship recipients will be required to meet with an advisor and faculty mentor.

*Classified Assembly Book Scholarship

Amount: $350/academic year
Minimum GPA: 2.5
Minimum Enrollment: 6 Credit hours
Criteria: Must be degree or certificate seeking at ACC, must have completed at least 12 credit hours at ACC, only applicants who are not eligible for federal Pell Grant will be qualified for this scholarship (Must maintain eligibility criteria above to receive spring award).
Also Required: Submit a 500 word minimum essay on "How do you envision your experience at ACC will help you to accomplish your goals in 5 years"?
Application Deadline: July 1, 2012

College Launch Scholarship

Amount: $1000/academic year
Minimum GPA: 2.0
Criteria: You must be a recent high school Graduate or GED recipient. (Length of scholarship is two years.)
Also Required: Submit a copy of your high school transcripts and recommendation from Counselor/Teacher/Employer.

First Generation Scholarship

Amount: $1600/academic year
Minimum GPA: 2.25 (Cumulative high school)
Criteria: Applicant must be a recent high school graduate or GED recipient, and neither parent has a bachelor's degree. 
Also Required: Submit a copy of high school transcripts and a recommendation from Counselor/Teacher/Employer.

Judith Ganschaw Accounting Scholarship

Amount: $500/academic year
Criteria: Applicants must be declared AAS degree candidates majoring in accounting, have earned an "A" in Accounting 121 and 122 and in one other accounting course required for the AAS accounting major. Applicants must be enrolled in any subsequent accounting course required for the AAS degree in accounting.
Also Required: Submit a letter of recommendation from an ACC accounting faculty member.

Liberal Arts Scholarship

Amount: $1000/academic year
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Criteria: You must be enrolled in Philosophy/Liberal Arts program
Also Required: Submit an Argumentative essay regarding Philosophy or an essay on Liberal Arts.

Lido Wine Merchants Humanities Scholarship

Amount: $1000/academic year
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Criteria: The scholarship may be utilized to pay for tuition, fees and books.
Also Required: Submit a Philosophy Argumentative Essay (3-5 pages, topic determined by Philosophy Faculty) or Humanities Essay (topic determined by Humanities Faculty).

Mark Hopton Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $500/academic year
Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program, Colorado resident, and completed at least 6 credit hours of MLT coursework.
Also Required: Submit an essay describing your interest and reasons for pursuing a career in MLT. Include your short-term and long-term goals in the laboratory profession.

*Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship

Amount: $2500/academic year
Criteria: Applicant must be currently enrolled in a course, or program in continuing education.
Also Required: Submit an essay (100 words) describing your personal circumstances and how continuing education is, has, or is expected to make a difference in the quality of your life. Letter of reference from a representative of your school (program director, dean, instructor, or registrar)
Application Deadline: June 29, 2012

*McKinnell Endowment Fund

Amount: Up to $1000/academic year
Criteria: Majoring in ceramics with intent of transferring to a four-year institution
Minimum Enrollment: 12 Credit hours
Student Costs: Tuition, fees, materials/supplies, as well as fees associated with activities
Also Required: Submit a written description of a project that could benefit the ceramics community at large. Include a method of sharing the benefit with the college community (PowerPoint, demonstration, publication, etc) Written description of the recipients intention to work in the field. Portfolio of applicants work.

*New Americans Scholarship

Amount: $1000/academic year
Criteria: Must be an ACC student, must be a documented immigrant
Minimum Enrollment: 12 Credit hours
Cost: Tuition, fees, and books
Also Required: Submit a one-page essay describing your educational background, experiences, and how this scholarship will assist you in achieving your educational goals.
Application Deadline: June 1, 2012

President's Scholarship

Amount: $1800/academic year
Minimum GPA: 3.25 (cumulative high school)
Criteria: Applicants must be recent high school graduates
Also Required: Complete essay questions; provide copies of your high school transcripts.

Ray and Marilyn Art Scholarship

Amount: $650/academic year
Minimum GPA: 2.4 (cumulative high school)
Criteria: You must be a U.S. Citizen, Colorado Resident, a first-year college student and a graduate from Chatfield, Columbine, Dakota Ridge, Heritage or Littleton High School.
Also Required: Submit an essay describing your financial need, educational and career goals and how you would benefit from this scholarship. A reference from an art teacher is also required.

* Veteran Vision for the Future

Amount: $2375/academic year
Minimum GPA: 2.5 (cumulative) at ACC
Minimum Enrollment: 6 credits
Criteria: You must be a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, honorably discharged or active duty.
Also Required: A time commitment of 12 hours per month during the academic year. A 300-500 word essay describing your vision of the perfect veterans club at ACC. Also submit a second essay: describing your financial need, educational and career goals. If applicable, include information regarding your community service involvement. (min. 500 words, max 750).
Application Deadline: June 30, 2012 (even though the online application states May 1, 2012)

Western Welcome Week Scholarship

Amount: $700/academic year
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Criteria: You must be enrolled in an Event Management course (credit or non-credit).
