LITTLETON, Colo. (June 29, 2012) – Shane Sims, a student in the Automotive Technology Program at Arapahoe Community College, placed fifth in the Automotive Service Technology competition at the 48th Annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference on June 23-27, 2012, in Kansas City, Mo.

Sims, who is also an employee at Planet Honda in Golden, qualified to represent ACC at the SkillsUSA National Conference by virtue of his first-place showing at the 2012 Colorado SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference on Apr. 18-20 at WarrenTech in Lakewood.
