Discover ACC during Spring Visit Day

Arapahoe Community College will offer an opportunity for high school students, family members and school administrators to visit campus and obtain useful information about ACC during the spring 2010 Discover ACC High School Visit Day. More than 300 students, family members and counselors attended a similar event last fall.

The event on March 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. will provide a chance for students to meet ACC faculty and staff and explore the College’s many different programs and departments. A complimentary lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and it will be the last event of the day. The visit day will conclude at 1 p.m.

Those interested are requested to RSVP by Friday, March 12. Capacity for this event is capped Students at Spring Visit Day, 2009at 250 people, and registration will be closed when the event reaches capacity.

The visit day will begin with check-in and registration from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Dining Hall near the west entrance of the ACC Main Building, before visitors move to the Waring Theatre, where they will receive an enrollment and financial aid presentation and listen to ACC students talk about their experiences at the College. From 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. visitors can choose from one of four break-out sessions: including a detailed campus tour of the Main Campus and the Art and Design Center, A Health Department Fair in the Fitness Center, a Tour of the Police Academy or a tour and demonstration of ACC’s Emergency Dispatch laboratory. After the break out sessions, attendees will proceed to the Half Moon, Room M1800, where they will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and staff members of ACC departments and programs.
